CONCEPT: into the wood

The Ask: CRE Group has been asked to create entertainment spaces in the back yard that extend well past the tree line into the woods. A paver walk extends from the existing deck and connects to the new patio positioned outside the basement slider. Just off the patio stairs lead to the new focal point circular fire pit patio. Mulch beds flank the stairs and mask the newly installed drainage system helping to prevent water from reaching the basement door. Small stone planting borders connect to the knee height retaining walls to the right and left of the sliding doors. New planting in the beds add splashes of color across the rear of the home.

Across the yard, a wood chip path extends into the wooded area. Following the path, guests find a hidden woodland oasis complete with a rustic fire ring, tree house for the kids, and a tree strung hammock. The soft, warm glow of light emanates form the edison bulb strings surrounding the space.
